General practice and the NHS

NHS Constitution

The NHS constitution establishes the principles and values of the NHS in England. It sets out rights to which patients, public and staff are entitled, and pledges which the NHS is committed to achieve, together with responsibilities, which the public, patients and staff owe to one another to ensure that the NHS operates fairly and effectively.

At Quedgeley Medical Centre, we are committed to implementing all elements of the constitution within our practice.

NHS Gloucestershire

NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (NHS Gloucestershire) is responsible for planning and buying services to meet the health needs of local people.

It also brings partners together to ensure the county’s NHS provides the best possible care. Alongside their communities, they want to improve health, improve access to high quality care and support when needed and make Gloucestershire a better place for the future.

Health and care services are still available in people’s homes, GP surgeries, communities and in hospitals, but partners work ever more closely together to plan and provide advice, support and care.
